Yin and Yang

In this dynamic practice, we either journey from Yang to Yin or from Yin to Yang.
Yang We stoke the fire in our center (Tan Tien) and move it up the chakra system of the body to store back down in our cauldron (Tan Tien). Muscles become juicy and happy. The Yin in this practice is dancing muscularly with a relaxed and soft mind.
Yin We hold the poses for 5 minutes allowing the connective tissues in the body - the highways to our organs- receive chi or prana (life force). The yang in this practice is the attention and interest we take in our mind's process as we stay still in asana and watch thoughts arise and pass.
At the end of class, we have a long savassana where it all integrates in the balance- the union - the ha and tha- sun and moon - yin and yang.
The body has time to recalibrate it's process and reintegrate it's fresh new body's information network.
Then we sit in contemplation and quietness and give thanks for this opportunity to be with ourselves.
